Wet Paint!

We've lived in our home for just a little over 10 years. KJ built our home (and many of the homes around ours) and I love it! We went through hundreds of house plans before we finally found our dream home. Then we redesigned several areas of that plan to fit our specific needs. We love our neighborhood and the surrounding areas and are very happy here.
But after 10 years and with 5 kids it was in desperate need of a paint job! So KJ busted out the spackle and went to work.

I'm really happy that he's painting. I'm NOT so happy that he used our bed sheet for a drop cloth.

We have several areas to paint (family room, hallway, kitchen...and whatever else strikes my fancy), so I'll keep you posted!

Crap! My house needs to be painted so bad! But I HATE HATE HATE painting! I leave it up to Splenda, which usually means.... well, it might be awhile.

Yay for you!

Can't wait to see how it turns out :)

I finally painted our living room after 10 years. The kids rooms also have a new coat and look great. The kitchen is in a sad, sad way and so is the downstairs and our bedroom. I'm hoping this Summer will be the painting summer.

Yay for a man that paints!! We finally hired ours done because Luvpilot was tired of me whining about our plain old boring white walls and he didn't want to tackle it. Yay for a man that will pay to have it done!!

I love paint. I am impressed that if is your husband who's doing it. Is that beige the new color? I love it!

We've only lived in our house for just under 3 years, and I;m amazed at how many holes we have in the walls. I've been tempted to spackle and paint, but then I'm sure more holes will appear. So, I've decided I'll wait to repair until the kids are old enough not to stick the corn holders in the wall all around the kitchen (yep), and then maybe I'll repaint.
Good luck with your painting!!

MMmmmm....Nothing like the smell of wet paint to get the kids to sleep through the night.

Not that I would EVER consider doing that.

Sorry about not getting back to you sooner. My phone was charging when you called and well....life happened today.

We went through Energy-Wise Insulation. www.energywiseinsulation.net You can also call them at 801-990-7493. They did a good job. We were pleased with their work and we didn't have to pay up front. We just got our first rebate check from Questar that we've forwarded on to them. Let me know if you have any other questions. I'd be happy to answer anything and I should have my phone on....crazy day.

BTW - can you send KJ over when he's done? We have a few spots with spackle on them - we just need a painter (DJ has been a little slow at getting that part done). We had a babysitter put her foot through the wall about 6 months ago and well - spackle is all we have now.

Luckeeeeeee! My house is in desperate need of a paint job too! We've already got some spackle up, though. Oh wait. Those are boogers. My bad.
Are you gonna do an accent wall?

Veronica, you disappeared again! Everything OK?

Hello, Veronica! I've never been here before, and now I'm just in time for the redecorating!

We've lived in our house 7 years, and while I've painted the DOWNstairs something like four times, the UPstairs is still the Kaopectate white the builders put on it. Yeah. Martha Stewart I'm not!
